April 08, 2025The V Lady was just voted Richmond’s Best in Hair Removal & Waxing for 2024… and I’ll be honest with you: I’ve been in my feels ever since.
It took me a little time to find the words (which, if you know me, isn’t usually the issue). But I couldn’t let this moment pass without giving it a permanent home here – because this win? It’s more than just a title or a plaque. It’s a full-circle, heart-swelling, soul-grounding reminder of what we have built together.
I know this isn’t our standard blog post full of skincare education or waxing tips, but I felt like this one needed to come straight from the heart.
When I started The V Lady, it wasn’t about being the “best” in the city. It wasn’t about accolades, numbers, or a perfectly curated brand.
It was about a gut feeling that there needed to be a space where women could come as they are – where they could feel comfortable, confident, and genuinely cared for in one of the most vulnerable parts of their self-care. It was about creating a treatment room that didn’t feel clinical or transactional – but warm, welcoming, and built on trust.
To now be voted the best by the community I set out to serve? I’m still kind of speechless.
This award means so much more than a title. It means you saw the heart behind the work. You felt it. And you believed in it enough to vote, to share, to support this little business that has grown into something far bigger than me.
